Update: Total Success. Sold out of most of the books, and met some amazing people. Thanks for coming!
It’s true. I am honored and excited to hold a Book Signing at the gift shop of the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, in Palo Alto, California on Thursday, March 19th. I’ll be signing copies of both The Bear, the Box and the Boy, and The Girl Who Knew She Was a Princess, as well as offering jewelry related to the illustrations in the book. Each piece will be a one-of-a-kind miniature illustration by the author (me! See more of my original watercolor jewelry here.).
I am figuratively jumping up and down for three reasons:
1) This is a wonderful cause! I am hoping that the event will generate some publicity/awareness, and maybe even a little bit of revenue, for a truly great hospital.
From their website: At Stanford Children’s Health our passion for providing unparalleled care for kids and pregnant moms goes far beyond our hospital walls. As a not-for-profit organization, we are dedicated to providing extraordinary outcomes for our both our patients and the community. From providing exceptional care to our community’s most vulnerable to training the next generation of doctors and medical professionals, investing in the health of the community imbues the work we do in every community we touch.
2) It’s a great excuse to visit family and friends in the Bay area.
3) It’s a book signing. For my own books.
If you or someone you know will be in the area that day, please stop by, I’d love to see you and meet new people!
Thursday, March 19th.
